• Surface Grinding and Polishing: Our single and double sided speedfams are fitted mainly for 6.5 inch squares (Schott, Hoya filters) but have tooling for any smaller shapes to fit your special needs. In house tolerances are up to ±.001 for thickness and 40/20 s/d.
• Scribe and Break : Our cutting racks are designed to handle both large and small parts with in house tolerances up to ±.008 on length and width.
• Machine Edging : Howard Glass is well known for our ability to center less grind diameters. We can edge from .250 inch diameters to 7.00 inch with a standard tolerance of ±.002. Edge chips are never more than .010 inch.
• We have a full line of Blanchard edging machines for almost any shape or size within ±.002. Diamond blade saw dicing is another one of our specialties, for fabricating parts that are extremely small or long thin strips.
• High Vacuum Coatings : We do front surface mirror and anti-reflective coatings.
• Drilling : With our ultrasonic and double sided glass drills, we can easily meet your special requirements.
• Laminating : We can handle small parts to your Blueprints.
• Heat Strengthening : Our oven can heat to 1400 degrees Fahrenheit and hold all parts up to 8 inch x 15 inch.
• Sandblasting and Frosting : for your glass monitoring chips in high vacuum operations.
